WE WERE SO EXCITED TO BE A PART OF MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK OF SWIM IN MIAMI, FLORIDA! WE HAD A PREVIEW PARTY FOR OUR 2011 LINE AT THE PENTHOUSE OF THE SAGAMORE HOTEL RIGHT IN SOUTH BEACH. WITH ENDLESS PEOPLE WATCHING, HOT HOT FLORIDA HEAT (THEY DON’T CALL THE B-BALLERS MIAMI HEAT FOR NOTHING!), AND GREAT FOOD AND FRIENDS, WE WERE THRILLED TO BE THERE. THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN; OUR FRIENDS AT MALIBU FAMILY WINES FOR HELPING US CREATE DELICIOUS BELLINIS, SHELBY (BOTH OF THEM!), DAYNE, THE HM SHOWROOM LADIES, OUR GIRL MARCY, OUR MOM, PUNKER PAT, OUR BEAUTIFUL MODELS- CARLIE, MELANIE, AND BREAUNA, AND ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. Sisters Oleema and Kalani Miller, natives of Orange County, spent their childhood near the ocean. Having practically grown up in swimsuits, it’s not surprising that their later design ambitions reflected a love of sun, sand and sea. MIKOH Swimwear (“MI” for Miller, plus “K” for Kalani, “O” for Oleema and “H” for a sister, Hana) was further inspired by the sisters’ love of travel and the eclectic designs capture the spirit of the intrepid adventure-seeker. Perfectly contoured to the body, seamless and free of hardware, and sporting intricate cutouts, these suits flatter the physique like nothing else. (Evident in the response to their 2011 collection, Tepre Pacificum, shown during last week’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami.) “We’ve created MIKOH for the confident, chic woman that wants to stand out and make a statement no matter where she is,” says Oleema.
